About & Process
Born from the Void
VoidAtelier was founded on a singular belief: miniature painting is not a hobby service — it is a form of narrative art. We exist at the intersection of sculpture, painting, and storytelling.
Our name carries our philosophy. "Void" — the darkness from which all creation emerges. "Atelier" — the artisan's workshop, a place of deliberate craft. We extract the essence of each character from the darkness, giving them form, light, and story.
We specialize exclusively in the grimdark and dark fantasy aesthetic. Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Forbidden Psalm, and independent projects that share this vision of beautiful darkness.
Narrative First
Every brushstroke serves the story. We don't paint miniatures — we capture moments from dark narratives in pigment and resin.

How We Work
The Process
From first contact to final delivery, every step is deliberate.

Consultation
We begin with a detailed conversation about your vision. Lore, aesthetic preferences, reference images, and the story you want your piece to tell. No detail is too small.

Concept & Planning
Based on our discussion, we develop a concept — color palette, lighting direction, basing theme, and key techniques. You approve the direction before any brush touches the model.

Assembly & Preparation
Meticulous assembly, gap-filling, pinning, and magnetization where needed. 3D printed elements and custom conversions are integrated at this stage.

Painting & Detailing
The core work. Layer by layer, we build the narrative — base colors, shading, highlighting, NMM, OSL, weathering, and atmospheric effects. Regular WIP photos are shared.

Basing & Finishing
The scenic base is constructed to complement and enhance the miniature. Final varnishing, display preparation, and professional photography of the completed piece.

Custom foam-cut packaging with full insurance. Your art object arrives exactly as it left the studio. Worldwide shipping with tracking.
